Be a Part of History
Welcome to the Presidio—one of America’s most beloved national park sites, nestled within the Golden Gate National Recreation Area on the ancestral homeland of the Ramaytush Ohlone. Just steps from the Golden Gate Bridge, our 1,500-acre park is a stunning blend of nature, history, and culture—and one of the most biologically diverse places in the country.
Once a military post under three different flags, the Presidio became part of the national park system in 1994. Today, it’s a vibrant place to explore, where historic buildings have been transformed into museums, restaurants, hotels, and cultural spaces.
Whether you're here for a scenic hike, a relaxing picnic, a visit to a museum, or simply to take in the views, there's something for everyone. And as you enjoy your time here, know that every visit helps support the preservation of this remarkable park.
We can't wait to share the Presidio with you.
Pre-World War II
At the Presidio, our residences offer a unique blend of natural beauty, historic character, and modern comfort—all within a national park. Surrounded by forests, trails, and sweeping views, it's easy to forget you're living in the heart of San Francisco.
Our homes were originally built between the late 1800s and the 1940s, with architectural styles ranging from Victorian to Georgian to Mediterranean. These thoughtfully restored residences reflect the charm of the past, with features like stucco and wood-frame construction, elegant portico entrances, and timeless design.
We offer a variety of home types to suit different lifestyles—from single-family homes and duplexes to four-plexes. Whether you're looking for a cozy space or room to grow, there's something here for everyone.
While the exteriors retain their historic charm, many of the interiors have been carefully updated with energy-efficient systems, modern appliances, and 21st-century connectivity. Many homes have been rehabilitated using green building practices, blending sustainability with the preservation of our storied past.
Among our historic treasures are a Victorian built in 1889 that once served as officers' quarters, and a 1909 residence originally home to enlisted families. Today, these homes welcome new residents to be part of a living community—rooted in history, and alive with possibility.
Post-World War II
At the Presidio, nature and design come together in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else in San Francisco. Over half of our national park is open space—expansive forests, coastal bluffs, sand dunes, and native plant habitats. And nestled into this extraordinary landscape are our mid-century modern homes, which make up more than half of the Presidio Residences portfolio. Originally built in the 1950s and designed with simplicity, functionality, and indoor-outdoor living in mind, these apartments and townhomes offer clean lines, unique layouts, and a timeless aesthetic that still feels fresh today.
Our largest neighborhood, Baker Beach, is where this mid-century modern style shines. Here, you'll find spacious two-, three-, and four-bedroom apartments and townhomes featuring hardwood floors, updated kitchens, and large windows that invite in abundant natural light. Many homes also offer stunning views of the Pacific Ocean—views that rival those of neighboring areas.
And while the occasional foghorn may echo from the nearby coast, it’s the sunsets here that truly stand out—painting the sky in vibrant hues of orange and red as they set over the trees and water.
